We are very pleased to advise that the tennis courts are open for singles play from 2nd April 2020 in accordance with the recently confirmed state government approval for tennis to continue.

The strict social distancing rules must be observed.

Arrangements for play are as follows:

  • Play is limited to singles games only. No doubles games are allowed.
  • Bookings for the court should be made for only the two persons playing on each court. Compliance with the two person public gathering requirement must be observed at all times.
  • Play your game and depart the courts immediately. Any lingering resulting in a gathering of more than 2 persons may result in us being forced to close the courts.
  • There is to be no socialising with the other players on the other court.
  • Please try to time your arrival to coincide with your booked time.
  • Security will make regular patrols to ensure these conditions are being adhered to.

The Community Association Executive Committee must be responsible for balancing compliance with all government provisions with affording the opportunity for people to enjoy permitted exercise on the courts.

Failure by players to strictly comply with these requests will leave us no alternative than to close the courts. Breach of these guidelines may result in the courts being closed by the authorities.

Security will regularly patrol the courts to ensure compliance.

You are reminded of the strong advice from the Chief Medical Officer that you should stay at home and limit social contact as much as possible if you are in the following categories:

  • Over 70 years of age
  • Over 60 years of age with a chronic health condition, or 50 if of indigenous background

All are reminded of the strong recommendation not to go out of your home if you do not need to.

We want you all to get through this pandemic safely and in good health so that tennis can resume normal operations whenever we are permitted to do so.

Please stay safe and keep well.
