11 February 2025 –
Lesley Bentley and the PPPTF team, with great community support, have already achieved many improvements in Pyrmont’s public transport.
The upgraded ferry wharf is installed, and the F10 ferry will return to Pirrama Park soon. There may be a delay due to a change of the Minister for Transport.
The 389 bus now stops outside the Maritime Museum and returns to Bondi Junction from outside the Star light rail stop. It is now more frequent, and investigation has commenced on a bus stop in York Street. However bus stops on the York Street corridor are currently operating at capacity during the peak. Substantial changes to other bus services would be required to enable the 389 to stop here.
Light rail hours have been extended in the morning and evening.
Transport for NSW are actively working on a new route to connect to Broadway and RPA, for implementation in 2025. The route will provide new connections to local shopping centres and health precincts.
Work continues – well done PPPTF team, our community and MP Alex Greenwich!
