As part of the 2017 Heritage Month Festival, the Sydney Heritage Fleet is running four popular harbour tours aboard the heritage ex-naval launch Harman. 

The cost is $35 per person, BYO food or drink (water available on board). Meet at 10am at Wharf 7, 58 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont (just near the Pyrmont Bay ferry wharf); tours end at the north wharf of the Australian Maritime Museum at 12.30pm.

Ships ‘n Shore – 22 April

The cruise on the harbour west of the Bridge includes a visit to the Sydney Heritage Fleet’s Heritage Docks and Workshops at Rozelle. Here passengers will find several of our other heritage vessels including the 1927 steam ship John Oxley, our current restoration project; steam tug Waratah; steam launch Lady Hopetoun; gentleman's schooner Boomerang, and motor launches Berrima and Protex.

Harbour North Side Cruise – 29 April

The cruise closely explores all the bays and headlands of the north shore of Sydney Harbour between Bradleys Head and Balls Head. The Harman also goes deeper into Mosman, Neutral, Lavender and Berrys bays than commercial cruises to fully reveal their maritime, industrial, defence, recreational and artistic pasts. 

Icons Cruise  – 6 May

The cruise is a relaxing way to see many of the icons of Sydney from the harbour and hear why they are icons and more. The route includes Barangaroo, Walsh Bay, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, Farm Cove, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Woolloomooloo Bay, Garden Island, Darling Point, Clark Island, Fort Denison, Kirribilli, Luna Park, and Blues Point.

Seven Islands Cruise – 13 May

The cruise covers seven of Sydney Harbour’s islands that lie west of the Harbour Bridge, including some which are no longer islands!  We hear about the history and current uses of Darling, Goat, Berry, Rodd, Cockatoo, Spectacle and Snapper islands. The Harman will stop at Cockatoo Island for a short commentary on the history of the two dry docks.
