A JL resident again features in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Peter Devoy received a richly deserved Order of Australia Medal (OAM). Peter was co-founder and a tireless worker for Pyrmont Cares (pyrmontcares.org.au). Their volunteers do wonderful work collecting and recycling furniture and whitegoods to help those who need them most.
For many years Peter was a very active secretary of McCafferys EC. He has volunteered for Christmas in Pyrmont and was a director of the Pyrmont Community Bank. He and his wife Helen love travelling, and Peter has organised excursions which many JL residents have enjoyed. Congratulations Peter, and thank you for all you have done for our community.
